Love is in the hair

Hey beauties!

This week I will be talking about the products that I received in my Influenster Charm VoxBox. To start, I am going to talk about the Eva NYC Clean It Up Shampoo & Therapy Session Hair Mask.

I have received so many comments and dm’s on instagram about this shampoo & hair mask  so I decided I needed to talk about these first. So many of you wanted to know how they are.

Before I jump in, the shampoo and conditioner are on sale at Costco for $7.99. You get 1 liter for that price. Yes…1 LITER! The mask is on sale at Ulta for $11.99. Awesome prices for hair car products…quality hair care products at that.

Let’s start with the Clean It Up shampoo. The first thing I noticed is the light scent. It smells really fresh and clean and slightly like baby powder. It’s not an overwhelming scent at all and I personally really like it. There is Ammonium Laureth Sulfate in it (bummer) so it does foam but I feel like it doesn’t foam as much as most shampoos out there that have sulfate in them. I really liked how clean my hair felt when using this shampoo. I have fairly thick hair and it’s pretty long and I’m picky about what I use on my hair. It has argon oil and keravis protein in it and let’s get real, both are so good for your hair. My hair is more on the frizzy side and this shampoo really helped control the frizz. I really do like this shampoo. So much in fact, that I did end up purchasing the shampoo and conditioner while at Costco.

As for the hair mask, I love a good hair mask. Now it does say that you can use the mask a couple of times a week or as a daily conditioner. Eh, this worried me a tad being that when I use a hair mask, I want it to work better than my “daily” conditioner. I wasn’t too impressed with the fact that this mask didn’t detangle my hair as well as I had hoped and I did leave it on my hair for about 5-7 minutes. What really made me fall in love with this mask is how soft, shiny, and silky it made my hair. Blow drying alone really impressed me. I usually run my flat iron through my hair when I’m done blow drying but I definitely could get away with skipping the flat iron if I was in a hurry. I’m hoping when I use this mask a second time, it will work even better for me. I’m not giving up on it yet.

I have yet to try the conditioner in conjunction with the shampoo but when I do, I will update this post. I’m sure it’s going to be just as great as the shampoo and I can’t wait to try it.

All in all, I am so glad that Influenster sent this over, for free might I add, for me to try and review. So so impressed!!

So for those asking how it is, it’s great!! If you’re looking for a good, quality inexpensive shampoo and hair mask, pick these up and give them a try.   If you do, make sure to let me know what you think.
