Soft, romantic every day look
I am so in love with this look that I had to share it with all of you. It’s just so simple but so pretty and I honestly would wear it every single day! The look I did was with one simple palette only and the particular palette I’m talking about is the Anastasia Beverly Hills World Traveler Shadow Couture Palette. Unfortunately, it’s no longer available on her website or even Sephora’s website but did find it on Amazon for a ridiculous price. Since I’m sure none of you want to spend $133 on a palette, I investigated a little more and found each shadow as singles on the Anastasia Beverly Hills website. Yay!
Let’s jump right in. As always, I’ll show you the look and down below, I will give you the product details. And btw, the lashes that I used for this look are from House of Lashes and oh my gosh! I am so in love! I was a HOL virgin prior to this look and now, I just can’t get enough. I’m sure I’m one of the very last to jump on the HOL train but I am so glad that I finally did. If you have never used lashes from HOL, gurrrl, you have no idea what you’re missing! I’ll have a blog post all about this lash brand soon.
So here is the look!!
Here are the product details and a few tips to really get the most out of these shadows.
Face: NYX Cosmetics Angel Veil Primer
Lancome Tient Idole Ultra 24hr Foundation
IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye Concealer
Airspun Translucent Loose Powder- baked under the eyes for about 10 minutes
ELF High Definition Loose Translucent Powder- to set my entire face
Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit
BH Cosmetics Professional Blush Palette
Eyes: MAC Cosmetics Paint Pot- Soft Ochre to prime my eye lids
Anastasia Beverly Hills shadow- Morocco for transition color in the crease
Anastasia Beverly Hills shadow- Pink Champagne all over the lid. To really get that gorgeous, metallic, highly pigmented look, get your brush damp. Eye drops work great if you don’t have anything else to use. I personally use the Mario Badescu Rose Water since it sits on my vanity. Water will do just fine too.
Anastasia Beverly Hills shadow- Noir on the outer corner just to deepen the look up a little more. It’s VERY pigmented so you will only need to tap your brush into the shadow and blend blend blend!!! Also used this to smoke out the lower lash line a bit.
ColourPop Creme Gel Colour- Swerve (basically a gel liner)
House of Lashes falsies- Pixie Lux
Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade- Ebony (brows)
Lips: I kept it very simple since I really wanted the eyes to be the star of the show.
Gerard Cosmetics lip gloss- ButterCream
And as always, I set my face with the Urban Decay DeSlick Makeup Setting Spray.
This look really was so simple to achieve and I honestly just threw it together not even knowing what I was going to do. I just knew I wanted to challenge myself and only use one palette instead of 3, 4, 5, or even 6 palettes at one time. Yep, this has really happened. I am so in love with these particular shadows but especially Pink Champagne. It’s a shade that I will have to forever have in my collection. I love the shadow with a dry brush but I LOVE LOVE LOVE it with a damp brush. Make sure you are using a synthetic brush to pack on this particular shade to really get the most out of it.
So what do you think? I really am so happy with the way that this look turned out. Again, I would wear it every single day if I didn’t enjoy experimenting and playing around with makeup as much as I do. I think it’s perfect for every day but beautiful for a date night. It’s just…everything! Can you tell I love it?
P.S. Here’s a peek at the palette so you can see what the shades I used look like.
