Primer?

Hi beauties!

Okay, so if you follow Nikkie Tutorials on any social media platform or YouTube, you know this product is her go-to product to use as a face primer.  Ummm…say what?  I would have NEVER thought to use this product as a face primer!  I just kind of laughed at the idea and pushed it into the back of my mind.  Now I have tried soooo many primers–everything from drugstore to high and and in between.  My current favorite is the Makeup Forever Step 1 Equalizer Mattifying Primer since I do have an oily t-zone.  Although this primer does work really well for me, the price at $36 isn’t my favorite.  It’s worth it since it does work really well for me but since I do my makeup just about every single day, I go through this primer rather quickly.  Then I remembered what Nikkie uses and while at Target one day, decided to pick it up.

Yes, the Nivea Men Post Shave Balm!!  Are you laughing or thinking I’m crazy yet?

Okay!  So this as a face primer is LEGIT!  It’s the real deal, beauties!  I’ve been using this product as my primer for the past week and I’m so in love with it.  It really makes my foundation stick to my face and doesn’t budge all day.  I do still need to put my MUFE primer in my t-zone on top of the shave balm but wow, I’m so impressed!  That Nikkie knows what she’s talking about!  Plus, the price is perfect!  I believe I paid about $5 or $6 for it but definitely no more than $6.

Yes it does smell like a guy but once it’s set on your face, you can’t smell it anymore.  I feel like my skin is more balanced when I use this.  Now if you have really oily skin, I’m not 100% sure how this will work for you so make sure to use your mattifying products along with it.  For how inexpensive it is, it doesn’t hurt to try it, right?
