Boscia Makeup-Breakup Cool Cleansing Oil
So Nikkie (Nikkie Tutorials) talked about this cleansing oil in a recent YouTube video and after watching her review, I just had to check this product out and see what it’s all about. I’ve been looking for a good product to remove all of my makeup and I’m so sick of makeup remover wipes. Wipes just don’t seem to do all that great of a job and believe me when I say I’ve tried everything from drugstore to high end.
While I was at Sephora this past weekend, I grabbed a bottle of this beauty and couldn’t wait to try it.
Let’s talk about the packaging first. Laugh at me all you want but the little locking clip on the dispenser is one of my favorite parts about the packaging. Time and time again, one of my littles has gone into my bathroom and wasted a favorite product of mine. I replace the locking clip after each use and voila! My tot has looked with and played with the bottle but can’t figure out why it won’t push down. Genius, Boscia…pure genius! The other thing I love about the packaging is the pump! Pumps are everything when it comes to anything cosmetic. Do you feel me on this one? And with this product being an oil, I’m so glad it’s in pump form so I don’t spill the entire bottle on me in one use.
This product does come in 2 different sizes. I bought the small bottle (1.7 fl oz) since I wasn’t sure how I was going to like it. The small bottle is $10. The larger bottle is 5 fl oz and is $28. Still not a bad price but that’s an awful lot of oil to waste if I didn’t like it.
Now let’s get into the actual product itself. I love the way it smells. It has Eucalyptus, Peppermint, Rose Hip, Green Tea, and Gold Palm Oils in it so yes, it smells amazing. The Eucalyptus and Peppermint do kind of take over since they are a stronger scent but the combination of all of these ingredients is just ahhhh.
When you put the oil on your face, it does have that cooling, slightly tingly effect as mentioned in the name of the product. I LOVE the feeling. It feels so luxurious on my skin and it tells me that it’s working. The best part about this oil, aside from it removing my makeup, is that it doesn’t leave a greasy feeling on my face. Yes I know that with an oil, you automatically think and expect it to be a hot greasy mess but nope! It rinses off like a dream. It leaves my skin feeling clean and fresh and ready for my acne cleanser, products, and moisturizers. This oil hasn’t caused me to break out at all. In fact, I’ve noticed a huge difference with my pores and the appearance of my skin.
To use this oil, all you have to do is pump some into your hand and rub it directly onto your face. Now in reviews that I’ve read, people have said that it doesn’t go very far and they have needed to use a lot of the product to get it to remove all of their makeup. If I feel I need a little more oil, all I do is wet my hand to get the oil to ‘lather’ a bit and voila! That does the trick! Don’t be afraid to dilute this product a tiny bit to get it to go further. In fact, you need to rinse your face off anyway so as I’m rinsing, I make sure to distribute the diluted oil all around my face just to ensure complete removal of my makeup.
Even on the days that I wear an extreme full face of makeup, this oil gets everything off. I did forget to mention that I do use an eye makeup remover prior to using the oil on the rest of my face but that’s just out of habit. I have tried using just the oil and it works great to remove my eye makeup. I will continue to use my eye makeup remover but that’s only because I don’t like to switch up my routine too much. I’m kind of OCD when it comes to things like that. Yes, I’m a weirdo. 🙂
Do I think this oil is worth the price? YES! A millions times yes! I will be going back and purchasing a full size bottle although, I can already tell that I’ll get plenty of uses out of the smaller bottle which makes me happy. I’m sure the full size bottle will last quite a long time.
So if you’re looking for a product to remove your makeup, check out this cleansing oil. It’s fabulous!
