Tarte Cosmetics Tartelette Amazonian Clay Matte Palette

Hi babes!

So today I want to talk about the Tarte Tartelette palette.  I have been wanting this palette for a small while now so I decided just to go ahead and get it.   I mean, first of all, how often do you come across a palette that is strictly full of matte shadows?  Umm…practically never!  Unless of course you buy all matte shadows and put them into a Z Palette yourself.

This palette retails for $44 but of course you can always get it a little cheaper by using an Ulta coupon if you have one to use.  I did notice that purchasing this in store was kind of difficult since they do seem to run out of this particular palette rather quickly since everyone is loving it.  If you can get your hands on it at either Sephora or Ulta, I suggest picking it up as soon as you see it.

So let’s get on to the palette.

I love the names of each individual shadow.  The names are so freaking cute!  The packaging of the palette is really sleek and so pretty.  I was attracted to it just from the packaging but then learning that it was an all matte palette, it was love at first site.

Of course I had to swatch the palette there in the store just to see how the pigmentation was and to see how they felt.  Holy pigmentation and creaminess!!  There was no way I was leaving this palette behind in the store.  I was taking him home with me.

The first time I used this palette, I knew the colors were highly pigmented but I didn’t know what to expect once the product got onto my brush.  Welp, a little goes a long way and you have to be careful about how much product you put onto your brush.  I would suggest using a little to start with and then building it up as you go, especially with the darker shades. Whew those are pigmented!  I LOVE the black in particular.  I love Urban Decay’s Blackout that you can purchase individually and it comes with the Naked palettes but this Tartelette black (Fashionista) is just so different from any black shadows I have seen or used.  It’s so versatile and the fact that it’s matte just makes me love it even more.

Even though this palette is pretty pigmented, all shades blend out beautifully.  It really has some beautiful transition shades that I personally use on a daily basis regardless of the look that I am doing.  There are shades that work for cooler tone looks or warm tone looks.

All in all, if you are looking for a good versatile matte palette, definitely get your hands on this one.  In fact, get this palette regardless. I promise you won’t regret it!  I hope you’re having a fabulous day, beauties!  ❤ ❤ ❤
