April Ipsy Bag Review

Hello my beauties!

I just realized that I never got my April Ipsy Bag review up on the blog all thanks to our awesome internet issues.  I’m going to touch quickly on that and then jump into the review.

So our internet blows.  Just going to put that out there.  I have never experienced such issues with a company before or their service.  It was getting to the point where I almost felt like I needed to start inviting the techs to our family dinners because they have been to our house so often.  Before cancelling and going with another provider, techs were at our house basically on a daily basis.  What in the world?!  Very long story short, we finally switched providers to a more trusting provider and now we are back in internet business!  This means that there will be more blog posts coming your way on a regular basis.

Now for the review.

As a refresher, here is what I received in my April Glam Bag.

Overall, I LOVED this glam bag.  The only product that I was not impressed with was the Mullein & Sparrow Lip and Cheek Tint.  First of all, anything I put on my lips, I’m not about to put on my cheeks.  Maybe I’m just a weirdo but that doesn’t seem right to me.  I did try it on my lips but this was hard for me to do because the fragrance kind of made me sick.  It didn’t smell nice at all!

My absolute favorite product was the Elizabeth Arden lipstick.  I was SHOCKED to receive it because it is full size and it retails for $25!  That is worth more than the subscription price!  Talk about generous! This lipstick is just gorgeous!  It’s moisturizing, so pigmented, the color is gorgeous, and it really lasted for quite a while on my lips.  As soon as I run out, I’m buying another because it’s amazing!  I did use the discount code provided by Ipsy to purchase another in a different shade.  Worth every single penny!

The Nude Dude Eye Shadow was a little disappointing.  I thought it would be a little more pigmented than it actually is but it’s still a really nice product.  I was just hoping for a little more oomph from a The Balm Cosmetics product.

Crown Brush makes amazing brushes and this oval concealer brush did not disappoint.  It’s soft yet dense enough to apply and blend out my concealer.  I have use it to clean up bold lip colors around my lips, to conceal blemishes, and to clean up my eyebrows.  Definitely a good brush to add to your collection.

The JulieG matte top coat is freaking awesome!  It turns any color matte and it really helped make my color last for a little over a week.  Impressive!  The top coat came with a coupon so I’m going to have to run in to Rite Aid and purchase another color.  I wish you could buy these polishes every where rather than just Rite Aid.

All in all, April’s Glam Bag…yassss!  LOVE it!  I got a little sneak peek of my May bag and I can’t wait to see what else comes in it.  What did you get in your April Ipsy bag?  What was your favorite product?  If you want to subscribe to Ipsy, it’s just $10 a month and you can go here to subscribe.
