15 Days of Makeup Challenge: Day 3
We are on Day 3 of the 15 days of Makeup Challenge and today’s theme is Palettes.
I have to be completely honest. I do not own a lot of palettes. There are several that I would love to purchase but I just haven’t justified, to myself, buying them. I look at the price and think, ” I could buy something else with the amount that just one palette is going to cost me.” I think mom’s have a tendency to do this quite often. Anyway, these are the palettes I do own and really gravitate towards when I do my makeup. I do have some smaller palettes and quads but I don’t use them quite as often so I didn’t want to mention them.
My go to palettes are as follows:
BH Cosmetics Baked Eye Shadow: Wild Child — I love that you can use this palette wet or dry. Using the baked shadows wet really make the color pop!
BH Cosmetics: 120 color palette 5th edition — I really like this one because it has a mixture of matte and shimmer shades.
Urban Decay: Naked 2 — This palette is very pigmented especially the black shade. It’s pretty intense and the smallest amount goes such a long way.
Maybelline: Nudes — Not the best pigmentation but pretty dang good for drugstore. I do notice some fallout with this palette so I make sure to do my eyes prior to the rest of my face or use a shield.
Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit: medium tan — Oh jeez, this contour kit…I can’t. I just can’t! It’s so amazing! I knew it was good but not THIS good! I’m still sort of new to contouring but this palette makes contouring a dream.
Blank Canvas Cosmetics: 28 neutral eye shadow palette — I was actually surprised that this palette was as good as it is. I do experience some fall out but it seems like the darker shades are the ones that I have to deal with fallout the most. It’s nothing crazy, just need to make sure I do my eyes first.
BH Cosmetics Professional Blush: 10 color blush palette — This palette has some awesome pigmentation and they blend out beautifully.
Here are the palettes individually.
And of course I have to mention this palette.
Even thought it’s not in my hands yet, I know how much
I love Morphe’s eye shadows so I know I am going to LOVE this palette. Plus, they’re Jaclyn Hill’s favorites!!
Do you have any must have palettes that I should try? Let me know so I can go buy them.
Also, if you want me to swatch any of these palettes for you and do a post, leave me a comment and let me know. I would be more than happy to do that. ❤
